As Buying and Merchandising Lead, you’ll play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of buying, stock planning, and the production critical path. This role is essential to ensuring we meet customer expectations while maintaining efficient and accurate processes.

Your field of play - What You'll Do!

This hands-on role focuses on managing the operational side of buying and merchandising, ensuring that every stage of the critical path is executed smoothly. You’ll take ownership of stock management, data accuracy, and communication across teams to keep the business running efficiently. This role is perfect for someone highly organised with strong Excel skills, who thrives on detail and loves seeing plans come to life.
 
Critical Path Management
  • Take full ownership of the production critical path, from placing purchase orders to ex-factory dates.
  • Monitor timelines, identify risks, and address delays to keep stakeholders informed and processes on track.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers and production teams, ensuring seamless communication.
Buying and Merchandising Coordination
  • Manage product data, ensuring accuracy in all systems and processes.
  • Track stock levels to ensure optimal inventory for all channels.
  • Work with the Head of Product & Supply chain to plan and forecast stock requirements.
Reporting and Analytics
  • Create and maintain reports to track inventory, sales performance, and stock availability.
  • Analyse data to inform buying decisions and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Day-to-Day Operations
  • Maintain a highly organised framework for managing timelines and processes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.

Your story

Be successful in this position you bring: 
  • Experience in a buying or merchandising role, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
  • A compulsive level of organisation, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage production critical paths and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP/IMS systems or merchandising tools is a plus.
